Beautiful despite the sharp edges. "Centrifugal" gives
a meaning we can all relate to; the anguish within.

A Nice Wash Between the EarsThe first time she suspected something wasn’t when Daddy told her not to care about mothers, or her arm snapped and her brain turned off like a light switch, or the time she found the “Family AI Inc.” card under his bed when she was cleaning his room. No. There was always an explanation waiting for her around the corner. She did not suspect. She did not care to. She did not want to. She did not need to.
The day she found the business card, she tossed it into the trash incinerator, got a lollipop from the hospital-esque jar on the kitchen counter, and went off to meet her new tutor in Daddy’s private zoo. She was seventeen. Her hair was long and licked the crooks of her elbows with wispy blonde tongues, unsplit and soft, which Daddy liked a lot. He said she was very pretty and nice and told her at age ten that he wanted her to be taught at home for a while because she was his precious Riborg, and she did not mind because she believed him. Seven years was a long w

Suggester says: "The author provides a keyhole for an intensely
personal and emotional experience, bringing to life the truth after death…
not for the departed, but for the ones left behind. It was beautiful."

Romantic free verse full of love and beautiful pictures of the waves and the moon, perhaps also a little hint to erotic emotions.

gliitchlord
A pillar of the deviant lit community and master of his own genre, this prolific writer is a must-watch for any new lit deviants here. It would be impossible to summarise his 10 years worth of writing on the site with just three deviations, but these more recent pieces may just give a glimpse into the mind of a stellar writer.

Today's featured deviant is:
calliopen
In calliopen's deviantID she writes "i only write when im falling in love or falling apart" and her writings certainly explore all manner of romantic relationships and personal hardships all with such delicate writing. She strikes the perfect balance between the weight of heavy emotions and the lightness of imagery and word choice in each of her writings, and her gallery is certainly worthy of further perusal.

Our featured author of the day is: hopeburnsblue (https://www.deviantart.com/hopeburnsblue)
Mel is probably one of the first names new writers on dA come across. Not only is she incredibly kind-hearted and approachable, but she is also a beautiful writer. She is always highlighting hidden gems she discovers in our little literary pool, all while spinning emotionally-charged poetry that spills with honesty.
A succinct study of an artist, full of unsaid emotions.
A heart-felt exploration of missing a loved one,
told through simply sublime imagery and metaphors.
