if my heart is an album, every song features youyou are the guest star
in my heart
every show
&
every night
stealing my breath
& the spotlight
i see
you in my dreams
so it seems
you live in my head
can i come visit you
inside of your dreams too?
i need lessons in love––come be my teacher
in each of my daydreams, you make a guest feature
each of your features is my favourite feature
no, i’m not stalking; i’m just doing research
on my computer––come be my tutor
it’s not my birthday, but i’ll be your suitor
we’re cut from a different cloth but the same cotton mill
my rags: poor, inelegant––my pumpkin heart: rotten still
coach me or reproach me
as long as you approach me
(my heart or my bed–both are vacant)
if i were a girl
i bet that you would love me
if i were a sport
i bet that you would touch me
if i were a worm
i bet you’d attach me
if i were a fish
i’d let you come catch me
(& cook me & eat me
then i’d be inside you)
if i were a lizard, i bet

The imagery and the whimsy of this piece is truly beautiful. An engaging and intriguing poem full of gorgeous, romantic sentiment.

Do I Know You? (Contest)An old woman stood browsing produce. Other shoppers paid little attention to her until a teenage girl with short, bright blue hair and odd, flamboyant clothing approached her. A delinquent, they probably though.
“There you are. Come on, we need to get moving,” said the blue-haired girl.
“Hello. Do I know you?” asked the old woman. This got the girl several dirty looks.
“Yes, I’m your granddaughter, Pixie.”
“Oh, that’s right,” said the woman. “Do you know where I am? Or what my name is?”
“Your name is Maggie, we’re grocery shopping.”
A few dirty looks began turning sympathetic as Pixie took her grandmother by the hand and lead her further into the store. They barely made it to the dairy section when Maggie said “Hello there. Have we met?”
Pixie nodded. “I’m your granddaughter.” She put a gallon of milk in the cart.
“Ah, that’s right. Nice to meet you.

A story that can hit home for many. Especially from any person in their own family.

|Forever|Generations rise and fall. A king, a lord, an emperor… What are they? They are just human men. What puts them above or below one another? There is always a unifying force tying us together. What is this force? One cannot say. Many could not say.
There was a man who sought these answers. He and his people wished dearly to learn the truth, but truth is something the forces that be seek to suppress. Knowledge is power, and power is reserved for the few. Even those with power can succumb to forces greater than they know. The irony? These forces were the very ones they wished to understand.
Knowledge is never lost. Men learn from the men before them. There was once a man who learned from those before him, and was sure never to repeat his mistakes. Mistakes are lessons, and lessons are simply further knowledge. Always learn from the past to seek the future.
The future may not be a future of men. Knowledge is deserved by all. Women, children, the elderly, all have some form of knowledg

A story most can live by. Things pass and never get spoken of. It's the way life works.

A beautiful poem full of symbolism and methaphors, a bit of romanticism, love and a tendency to mythology.
